Elegant Tropical Destination Wedding at Paliku Gardens Kualoa Ranch

This day!!! Every little detail was so intentional and I loved how these two incorporated bits of their culture into their wedding day. It was such a beautiful celebration and I love capturing moments like this!

I always make sure I ask each and every client what their vision for their day is. This is really important for me to know so I can make sure I capture their special day in a way that truly encapsulates their dream vision and the feel they want to create and capture. This can be as simple as wanting to capture the little moments or something like capturing the tradition of their culture and family.

Their Vision

I loved Matt + Claire’s vision for their day. They wanted an intimate and relaxed day while still honoring some traditional Philippine wedding celebrations by incorporating a whole roasted pig, a personalized banner, and even a luau show. Claire shared with me that she grew up in the Philippines and did a lot of hula dancing growing up, always had a roasted pig (lechon; as she called it) at every celebration, and that the banners symbolize the fiesta atmosphere are always present in the Philippines. I absolutely LOVE hearing details like this because it allows me to truly capture the essence of their day and focusing on the parts that have an extra special meaning to the couple.

To more intentional moments like this!
