This Honolulu Hawaii sunrise couples session with Mitchel and Sarah was the perfect morning.
This was the second time I was able to photograph them and I was so excited to work with them again! I photographed their intimate elopement the day that the state shut down for COVID. It was such a beautiful and intimate day which they made so special even during such a crazy time in the world! This was the final wedding I shot before Hawaii shut down for almost 8 months.

They came back to Hawaii for a honeymoon a year and a half later and wanted to shoot again. It was so sweet catching up and waking up early to go catch the sunrise on one of my favorite sides of the island.
They wanted their shoot to be near the ocean, so I thought of the perfect location! I met with them on the east side of the island in Honolulu. This location is so beautiful with so many unique views. The gorgeous lava rock, front row sunrise views, and huge waves were the perfect backdrop for this sunrise couples session in Hawaii.
I was so excited to see them again! When they showed up, they were in the most perfect outfits for a couples photoshoot! They were the perfect combo of neutrals and simplicity! Wearing neutral outfits helps the beautiful Hawaii views in the backdrop pop while still focusing on you!

Mitchell and Sarah were totally down to just have fun and enjoy the morning together. It was simple and easy and we caught amazing shots of them simply just being present. Right as the sun was coming up they chose to just sit and pray together. It was so beautiful to see them as husband and wife being so present and practicing their spirituality in a way that was so unique and special to them.
