Loved this couples session at Waimanalo Bay in Oahu, Hawaii with Hunter and Calista. Oh my gosh, they were the sweetest couple. They were SO real, genuine, and just such nice humans! During the shoot, everything felt so natural and we clicked from the start they were just so fun to be around!
It was so easy shooting these two. They were just totally and completely in love with each other and had so much fun together. This was the first time that these two have been photographed. They were super nervous (or so they said!) but they were so relaxed and did amazing in front of the camera! It was just an effortless experience and we made it all about who they are as a couple and what they love to do.
We met on the east side of Oahu, at Waimanalo bay beach on Christmas Eve! It was a little cloudy and overcast this day for this couples session but turned it the most PERFECT lighting. We had the whole beach to ourselves and it was just the perfect Waimanalo morning.
Hunter had gifted Calista this awesome board! IT IS SO CUTE! We ended the session just having them go out and surf. My water housing accidentally hit the manual focus button and the sun was so bright that I couldn’t tell that the camera wasn’t focusing for the last few shots so everything was out of focus but it gave the most epic filmy feel to the photos! I am so happy I got to capture Calista and Hunter’s love at this couples session at Waimanalo bay! This was such a fun, carefree day, and as a result, got some of my favorite photos!
