This Surprise Engagement on the east side of Oahu was the definition of a Hawaii dream proposal!
When Michael reached out and asked me to be a part of this surprise proposal I was so stoked! Monique is a fellow vendor and good friend and I absolutely adore her. I have always heard so many good things about her relationship and love for Michael for years. As you can imagine this day was so special and highly anticipated!
During the Hawaii winter, it tends to be a little stormy and overcast. I love the mood and feel that this brings to all the photos. This day encompassed hawaii winter perfectly! The weather was moody and overcast that day and looked so dreamy at this ocean view lookout spot.
We decided to do the surprise proposal at one of my favorite lookout spots in Hawaii. It is on the East side of Oahu and has the best views of the beautiful blue ocean. This spot also looks out on the city where they live and has a gorgeous view of the island and coastline.
Things were running a little behind schedule so we ended up running out of light and having to take some flash portraits which I absolutely loved. It added such a new dynamic to their photos!
Michael and Monique were beaming of love this day. These two were made for each other and you could literally feel the happiness they both felt. It was such an emotional moment on the perfect Hawaii winter day. This surprise proposal in Oahu, Hawaii was such a special and sweet day!
