Intimate Big Island Wedding in Kona
This intimate Big Island Wedding in Kona was such a magical day!
When John and Bri first reached out to me to shoot their big Island wedding, I knew it was going to be amazing. They gave me their questionnaire on what was important to them and then really just said "whatever you think is best". They completely trusted me so I was able to give them variety and help them really just have a great time. I scouted the locations and timed the lighting perfectly to give them wedding photos I knew that they would love.
There were so many beautiful moments and memories made this day and these are just a few of my favorites!
Tropical Wedding Decor + Details
They incorporated such beautiful tropical details and decor into their Big Island Wedding. The florals turned out beautiful and were placed around the entire wedding venue. The colorful tropical flowers draped across the reception tables were my favorite. I loved how everything was so colorful but felt so elegant and timeless at the same time. Every detail was so thoughtful and special from the palm leaf printed invitations to the engraved wooden signage. I loved it all!
The First Dance
When John and Bri entered the reception, they had their first dance overlooking the ocean as the sun went down. John surprised her and wrote her the song that was sung for their first dance. It was SO special and a moment that I will never forget.
Pool Party
Towards the end of the night, they decided they wanted to just jump in the pool!! John changed into his trunks and Bri jumped in in her wedding dress! The wedding party decided to join in and then more guests! It was a full on pool party. Everyone was laughing and celebrating, it was such a great time!
Sunrise Day After Wedding Session
The morning after the wedding we planned on a sunrise session! we got up super early and went down to explore a nearby spot to watch the sun come up! Day after wedding shoots are always so much fun! It gives you the chance to get more wedding photos of just the two of you without the stress on the actual wedding day! These two were so giddy all morning. It was the perfect way to celebrate their first full day as husband and wife.
Those were just a few of my favorite moments from J + B’s Big Island Wedding! I am still swooning over this day and I am so grateful to have been apart of it! Keep scrolling for more from this gorgeous wedding day!
