Boho Hawaiian Banyan Tree Elopement

I am so happy I was able to capture this boho banyan tree elopement in Hawaii. We started the day off with a casual couples session on the sand and then had the elopement ceremony after. I love being able to shoot my couples more than once because it gets them feeling more comfortable and confident around me. The elopement was at a banyan tree resort, in Kahuku, Hawaii. Films such as Hunger Games, Pirates of the Caribbean and a few others have been shot at this location, and I can understand why..it’s so stunning and unique.

It turned out to be the most beautiful day, the weather was sunny but not hot; which was so nice for me. As a photographer in Hawaii, every shoot is usually so hot! On most days this location is very popular, but we got lucky this day and there wasn’t another person in sight! We had the entire lot to ourselves and we got to play in the banyan trees, in the green paradise foliage and on the sand.

This elopement was so intimate and special, I loved the whole design, the decor, the dried flowers, her dress..pretty much just everything!! They style was minimal but intentional at the same time which showcased the beauty of this day. The style was boho but had some tropical twists that went perfectly at this Hawaiian elopement location.

This is just a day I will never forget. Wi and Raff are some of the most genuine people and I am so grateful I could capture this Banyan Tree elopement for them. They are some of the kindest people I know and you can just tell they are full of genuine love for one another. They were so easy in front of the camera and you can just feel how much they love each other. Their smiles and laughs are contagious, and I enjoyed this elopement so much. Their entire day was just effortless, and I think these images will speak for themselves.
