Maui Trash The Dress Elopement

On this pretty Friday, I flew off to Maui for this intimate Maui trash the dress elopement that just so happened to take place on my birthday. Ya know, I always tell myself I am about work-life balance but when I got Shea and Eric’s inquiry for their special day on maui, I couldn’t turn it down.

On the day of we headed straight to the hotel once we got to Maui. I felt like I had known them forever. It was just the two of them and their sweet little son. We had originally planned to go to Makua Cove, but due to some fires, we had to find a new last minute location.

Finally, we then stumbled upon Ironwoods Beach where we decided to do the ceremony. The wind was blowing 1000 mph but that didn’t stop them one bit. When we had finished the ceremony, they last minute decided after portraits that they wanted to jump in the water. So, they went all in and decided to trash the dress. It was such a beautiful moment.

The two of them were ecstatic on life and their little boy could not get over how wild his mom and dad were. They spent the rest of the night just playing in the waves as the sun went down. it was the most beautiful, intentional day. All they cared about was being present and having the time of their life.

This beautiful Maui trash the dress elopement was the perfect way to spend my birthday. I left the beach that night feeling full of gratitude for what I do, and the couples I am able to capture. I adored getting to know Eric + Shea and feel honored to have been there on such a special day!
